@scrapman999 lol you have a strange grasp of history rofl where did u read that a ladybird book. yes dev and churchill hated each other thats why dev sent condolences to germany in fact if you care to look up churchill speechs after the war u will find he thanked the thousands of southern irish that helped the british during the war i will give just 1 example 9 vcs were won by irish during the 2nd world war only 1 went north and that went to a falls road catholic.

@scrapman999 carry on fighting if they were invaded by Germany however. Britain really shouldnt critize others for their morals. The British army sank a whole fleet of french ships at mers – el – kebir with thousands of french soldiers on board while they were sitting ducks in port to prevent the germans from taking command of the ships, an act to be later proved as completely unnecassary and selfish. Look each country has its flaws, lets not generalise all the people for the actions of a few.

@scrapman999 born brought up in Ireland. He was a British informant in the IRA and was a senior member of the british union of fascists. He did indeed sign the book of condolences which many people disagreed with. Although it is said that this was a true sign of neutrality by not taking sides. Personally I think he did the wrong thing. Many Irish hate devilerra. However it is clear that we we slightly unneutral in the war, we did set up secret a RAF bases county tipperary so the British could -

@scrapman999 It appears you just ignored everything I said and went seaching in your bucket of crap for something else to say. I think your still living in 1943 man. The blueshirts is a term we use in history class over here now. Yes the IRA did. The majority of people hate the IRA. They were terrorists who did awful things and are still doing awful things. I would love to see those documents if you can tell me how to find them. You should look into lord Haw – Haw a bit more. He was american -

@MadAl0 ireland had one of the biggist nazi partys outside of germany the blue shirts, lord haw haw was also one of many irishmen who fought for germany also during the war years the ira bombed belfast and many other british towns, devilerra sent condolences to germany on hitlers death, look at mi5 records if you think theres no conclusive proof about u boats. as for british opression of irish, we cant be that bad , thousand of them still want to come over here to live.

@scrapman999 Also dont forget Dublin was bombed by the germans. Maybe you should take a look at how important Ireland and its economy is to the UK. Ireland got over the hate the UK crap maybe you should do the same. It was suggested in Ireland at the time of the loan as a joke that Ireland forget about a few hundred of the years of British opression in exchange for the money.

@scrapman999 Thats a hilarious load of bolloxs. There is no conclusive evidence to state that any German U- Boats were fueled in Ireland. It would have been completely against our interests to support the germans. Why would we have wanted a europe ruled by germany and if they took over Britain they surely would have taken over Ireland too. What about all the Irish men who joined the british army in WW1 and ww2 to fight the germans. Anyway what does that have to do with the lending of money.

Britain is giving us 7 billion I believe. I think you deficit is slightly larger than that maybe, add on a few hundred billion. Lets be honest you wouldnt be doing it if it wasnt in your interest. At the end of the day each country has their own interest at heart and in the words of osborne “We are going to do what is in Britains national interest, Ireland is our closest neighour and it is in Britains national interest that the Irish economy is sucessful”. I dont want you to think we are not

@ukipwarrior In search of what? Yes they are and we all hope that what ever island they hide on that it sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Our economic situation mainly comes down to the recklessness of a handful of bankers. It could even mostly be blamed on one man Sean Fitzpatrick. As far as I knew the UK debit is in the trillions and could hit 10 trillion by 2015. Irish debt is in billions. We could pick out flaws in each others countries all day but that doesnt make them shite.

@ukipwarrior Ireland is the UK’s biggest country for exports so maybe you should have another think. We do have an army we just dont need a big one because it doesn’t invade countries for no valid reason. (weapons of mass destruction my arse). How is the UK’s financial situation by the way? last time I checked not great. You had the gobshite politicians, the stupid bankers and the greedy property developers also.

People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones!
